Makanaka started playing tennis at the age of 5 and has earned a total of 18 medals. He was selected to play for Zimbabwe U14 at the AJC – 2022. He currently ranks number 3 in the country in the U14 Boys’ Category. Makanaka ranks number 43 on the CAT international rankings. He is looking to improve his rank to top 10 over the next year.
